AS THIS IS A PROTECTED CONSERVATION AREA, ALL ACCESS NEEDS TO BE PREARRANGED BY APPOINTMENT. BOOKINGS ARE ONLY TAKEN BY EMAIL OR PHONE.

The gardens are not open for casual visitors and the Glow Worm Tours are exclusive to staying guests.

Facilities:

Arrival from 3pm

  • - 3 X COSY GUEST WHARE - all with chocolates on bed and fresh flowers!

  • - Queen Double/Twin with ensuite

  • - Re Children - see below

  • - Dining Lounge

  • - Full Continental and Cooked Breakfast 

  • - Tea/Coffee & Home Baking on arrival following your welcome.

  • - Lunch and Dinner extra - We can provide a scrumptious full dinner which is 3 courses of: Pre-Dinner Platter, Main course and Dessert, at $80 + G.S.T. for 2 people ($25 + G.S.T. per person for 4 people or more).  Meals are served in the exclusive Guest Lounge - in summer, guests have the option of garden dining.  If Dinner is required, please confirm at time of booking or no later than 24 hours before stay.  Please note that we are 30 minutes from city restaurants or 15 minutes from "Takeaways".

  • We use Organic and Free Trade as much as possible.

  • Provide Gluten Free Meals when requested.

  • - Clay Tennis Court

  • - If required, we can arrange transfers.

ˇ         - Outdoor Education in Bushcraft, Native Flora/Fauna and Ecology by Tim Short (a former Mountain Safety Council Bushcraft Instructor - former mountaineer and Search and Rescue Volunteer - currently a volunteer for the Otanewainuku Kiwi Trust - Life Member of Queen Elizabeth II National Trust): - pricing on application.

  • During your stay you may be enthralled and delighted to be entertained in a short concert by "The Short Sistars" who are locally renown identities singing popular classics in harmony.

    Tariff (in New Zealand Dollars)

    Once you have booked with us, you automatically become a member of the Mount Tutu Eco-Sanctuary Club and are eligible to discounts for repeat visits for you, for Gift Vouchers, or for someone else you refer.  Simply mention your name and when approximately you visited.

    LOW SEASON TARIFF:

    1st May - 30th September

     

    • - Double/Twin: $120- $150 (First night $150, second night $90 i.e. $120 per room per night for two nights or more). Second night discount doesn't apply for Travel Agent bookings.

    • - Single:  $90 - $120 

    • - Children:   No charge for children under 5 yrs

    • 5 - 12 yrs $15  per child per night.  Please see below * re children and safety.

    • - Tariff includes Glow Worm experience (this would cost $75 per person at another location). Also includes Full Breakfast, and Coffee/Tea with cake!

    • - The Tariff excludes G.S.T. Tax of 12.5%

HIGH SEASON TARIFF:

1st October - 30th April

 

  •   Double/Twin: $150 - $180  (First night $180,  Second night $120 i.e. $150 per night for two nights or more). Second night discount doesn't apply for Travel Agent bookings.

  • - Single:  $120 - $150 (First night $150, Second night $90 i.e. $120 per night for two nights or more). Second night discount doesn't apply for Travel Agent bookings.

  • - Children:   No charge for children under 5 yrs

  • 5 - 12 yrs $15  per child per night.  Please see below * re children and safety.

  • - Tariff includes Glow Worm experience (this would cost $75 per person at another location). Also includes Full Breakfast, and Coffee/Tea with cake!

  • - The Tariff excludes G.S.T. Tax  which increases to 15% 1st October 2010.

    Your booking is confirmed with a deposit of $50 per night.

     

     

    There could be a Cancellation Fee dependent on period of time before your date of stay with full tariff due if cancelled within 7 days of stay. If the duration of stay is reduced after arrival, 50% is payable for those days no longer needed.

    Because of our intimate size, cancellations affect significantly.

    - Able to make up additional beds in room for small children - older children would need a separate whare.  Children would need to be supervised.  Babysitting service often available.

     

    As this is a Conservation area, Smoking is Prohibited.

    Pets are not permitted to accompany guests into the Sanctuary.

    We welcome your questions as we are not open for pre-visits or non-guest day tours.  This is because we are a protected conservation sanctuary and vehicle access is kept to a minimum.

    We occasionally have public Open Days. Thank you.

    • - NOTICE OF HAZARDS IN PARADISE - There are no imminent dangers, but please be aware that there are natural environment, operational and water hazards etc.  Please ask for more specific information. Reasonable effort is made to ensure your visit to Mount Tutu Eco-Sanctuary is a safe experience, but your common sense is required.  It is a condition of your admission to Mount Tutu Eco-Sanctuary, that you assume all responsibility for your own safety, the safety of those in your care, and for your possessions.
